.Energy efficiency is a great investment, whether you rent or own your home. The Cape Light Compact offers several programs designed to help you save while making your home more comfortable all year round.

Each home or business that participates in our program will need to have a free home energy inspection within the last five years.  The Cape Light Compact offers these inspections at no cost.  Recommended energy conservation measures may be eligible for generous subsidies.

We will be partnering with the Cape Light Compact in this aspect of the program.

 

We will be explaining a number of technologies that replace carbon-based fossil fuel with cleaner green-generated electricity.  These include “mini-splits” which are air source heat pumps that can both heat and air condition your home at a lower cost than natural gas (if available) propane or fuel oil.

We will be partnering with Cape and Islands Self-Reliance for this aspect of the program.

We will also be discussing Air Source hot water heaters and electric vehicles.
